The season is 1/2 over and there have been many lessons to learn.
Team leaders have had to move positions due to a lack of responsibility and commitment from some, and it has put some to the test in regards to what they're made of.
Hats off to Cody Santiago and Justin Michalak for being flexible and playing where the team needs them most. Both of these two will have the ability to play college ball, where experience like this will go a long way towards handling any adversity life might present them with.
While there have been some disappointments at every postion, no position has been less consistent than the line. Whether it is missing practices or not studying assignment sheets, the peformance has been flat out embarrassing most of the season. It's not too late to change though, and the Cats are going to finish the season with the most hungry young men on the field. We think we've found some very tough guys, and regardless of size, they will be representing us on Fridays and Saturdays from here on in.
This off-season will determine the success of the 2009 Bobcats. If the current juniors do not show a much better work ethic, the 2009 Bobcats will be mostly juniors and sophomores, to assure a competitive team in 2010. So we're either one or two years away.......the players will decide that with their decisions to commit or not.
